Stone Martin Builders believes in preparing our customer’s fully for the build process. Step one to that preparation is determining how a customer will pay for their new home. Many Stone Martin homeowners finance their home.
In order to make the financing process a breeze, Stone Martin Builders partners with trusted approved lenders who are familiar with the Stone Martin build process and requirements.
Stone Martin Builders does not require that our customers finance with an approved lender, but buyers that choose to finance their new home with an approved lender may be eligible to receive a credit toward their closing costs.
Let the fun begin! Stone Martin Builders On-Site Agent will work with you to determine the correct homesite and floor plan to meet your needs. After choosing a floor plan and lot, check out Anewgo to explore the many exterior color options for your new home! Then, the Stone Martin sales team can schedule an appointment with you to also review the vast interior options that will make a new home your own!
Let the contracting begin! A few of your home selections will be made at your contract writing appointment, but you will have ten days following contract to choose all remaining selections. Our proprietary system, Builderlinq, makes this process smooth and easy! When the contract writing is complete, Stone Martin Builders asks that you provide a deposit for your home. These funds are credited back to you at the closing.
Once we have a signed contract, you will receive a welcome email from Stone Martin Builders. This email will have your Builderlinq login information, as well as access to the homeowner portal. This resource is where you can keep up with your home build process, as well as find important information on warranty, community information, utility details, and more. This is your go to resource during and after the build process!
This is getting fun! It’s time to pick colors, lighting, tile, and more! For ten straight days, you can login to Builderlinq and create your new home design. Stone Martin Builders offers a selection room at all model homes where you can touch, feel and combine all selections before making your final decision. The sales team is trained in helping you through this process, so make an appointment with them to get started!
After you have made your selections, Stone Martin Builders immediately begins ordering materials and supplies! A few things may have changed in your final purchase price, so an updated contract will need to be signed and any additional option funds paid. It’s time for us to build your home! Sit back and relax!
It’s Go Time! Our first construction checkpoint is our Kickoff Meeting. At this meeting, you’ll meet your build team and review your site plan and selections before construction beings. Our second construction checkpoint is our Framewalk. At this meeting, your builder will walk you through your home during the framing stage with certain systems installed so you can see behind the walls.
Back to work for the builder, and hurry up and wait for you, right? Wrong! As your home is being built, we encourage you to do your homework too! Check in with your lender and ensure they are getting ready for your closing.
Exciting times lie ahead! As your home gets closer to completion, our team will tell you when it is okay to hire a third party licensed home inspector. Be sure to send any report you may receive to your On-Site Agent before your homeowner orientation. When your home receives a construction clean, the build team begins operating on a 30 day close out timeline. During this time, the team conducts a series of quality control checkpoints, then they invite you in to see a 100% completed home!
Your home is complete and we want to make sure it’s just right! The team can’t wait to show you their work and meet your expectations during this appointment. This is an opportunity to go through your house with a Superintendent and create a punch list and ask any questions you may have had after watching the build videos.
